杭州市京都小学坐落于著名的京杭大运河畔，前身为艮山门小学，学校始建于1931年，2001年旧地重建。2008年，原东园小学流水校区划归京都小学，合并成立京都教育集团学校。同年，学校被命名为浙江大学教育学院实验小学。

学校环境优美，设施一流。现有艮山和流水两个校部，总建筑面积约一万余平方米，共有教学班30余个，在校学生1000余名，教师80余名。

学校秉承“幸福教育 适性发展”的办学理念，践行“上善若水 博学笃志”的校训，凸显“运河文化”，以新一轮课程改革为抓手，探索学校可持续发展之路，努力打造师生幸福、特色鲜明、蓬勃发展的杭城高品质学校。

学校与韩国、澳大利亚、日本、美国、新加坡等多个国家多所学校建立了友好关系，通过各种形式的对外交流活动，提升办学水平。

Hangzhou Jingdu Primary School

Hangzhou Jingdu Primary School, formerly known as Genshanmen Primary School, is located at the bank of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. The school was founded in 1946 and rebuilt in 2001 on its original site. In 2008, Dongyuan Primary School was put under Jingdu Primary School and merged into Jingdu Education Group School. In the same year, the school was renamed Experimental Primary School affiliated to of College of Education of  Zhejiang University.

The school boasts of a beautiful environment and first-class facilities.It has two campuses -- Genshan campus and Liushui campus, with the total floor area of more than 10,000 square meters. Now the school has over 80 teachers and more than 1000 students in over 30 classes.

The school adheres to the schooling philosophy of “happy education, proper development”, practices the school motto of “The highest good is like that of water, full of knowledge and ambition”, highlights the “canal culture” and explores its sustainable development by taking the new round curriculum reform as a starting point so that it would grow into a happy and featured school of high quality in Hangzhou.

The school has established friendly relationship with some schools in South Korea, Australia，Japan,America and Singapore, because of which various forms of foreign exchange activities were organized to enhance the education of school.
